NICK MATTHEW
Did you ever wish to meet and
chat with the World Number 1?
Sheffield Hallam University offers you that opportunity. And
offers is the right term, as the evening, although prestigious,
is free for all.
"Basically it's like an after dinner speaking type event
although in a theatre for 300 people (150 seats have been booked
already)" explains Nick, "and it's a bit like a TV type
interview from the host to find out about me, about my links to
my home town and what has helped make me successful.
"All played out using clips of me in action courtesy of Squash
TV.
"The audience then asks me questions and we continue from there.
Very informal but a very prestigious event."
Prestigious indeed, as the most recent people to hold such an
evening have included famous actor Brian Blessed, TV chef
Nigella Lawson, Premier League Football manager Neil
Warnock, former England Cricket Captain Michael Vaughan
and Olympic Gold Medal favourite in the Heptathlon Jessica
Ennis. All have strong links to the Sheffield & Yorkshire
regions.
It is a one-off and is completely free, like I already mention,
but if you want to come,
you have to reserve a place... |
